About Passover

Passover (Pesach) is one of the most important Jewish holidays, commemorating the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. In 2026, Passover begins on the evening of 2 April and lasts for seven or eight days, centred around the Seder meal where the story of the Exodus is retold.

The 🍷 Wine glass represents the four cups of wine drunk during the Seder, each symbolising a different promise of redemption. 🫓 Flatbread evokes matzah, the unleavened bread eaten throughout the holiday to recall the haste of the Israelites' departure from Egypt. 🕯️ Candle represents the holiday candle lighting that opens the celebration.

Passover is a time of family, storytelling, and gratitude, observed by Jewish communities worldwide. 📖 Open book symbolises the Haggadah, the text read during the Seder, while Star and 🙏 Folded hands represent faith and the enduring spiritual significance of the festival.
