New Emoji 17.0 Characters Are Arriving

Unicode Emoji 17.0 is the latest approved emoji release, adding 163 total emoji characters and sequences. The easiest headline list is eight new emoji concepts: 🫪 distorted face, 🫯 fight cloud, 🫈 hairy creature, 🧑‍🩰 ballet dancer, 🫍 orca, 🛘 landslide, 🪊 trombone, and 🪎 treasure chest.

The full 🆕 Emoji 17.0 release also adds skin tone sequences for 🤼 people wrestling and 👯 people with bunny ears. That makes this release useful for reactions, fantasy, ocean life, music, dance, weather, games, and everyday messages.

The new standalone emoji are 🫪 distorted face, 🫯 fight cloud, 🫈 hairy creature, 🫍 orca, 🛘 landslide, 🪊 trombone, and 🪎 treasure chest. The new person sequence is 🧑‍🩰 ballet dancer.
